Deine Aufgaben

Wir suchen einen Senior Backend Software Engineer (m/w/d) zur Verstärkung unseres Softwareentwicklungsteams an den Standorten Berlin, Essen oder München. Die Tätigkeit umfasst die Arbeit an unseren Java-basierten Backendsystemen in der ersten Phase und anschließend den Übergang zu einem modernen Node.js- und TypeScript-Stack im Rahmen unserer Systemmodernisierungsinitiative. Du wirst eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Wartung und Optimierung bestehender Lösungen spielen und gleichzeitig die Zukunft unserer SaaS-Produkte gestalten.

Als Senior Backend Software Engineer (m/w/d) übernimmst du die Verantwortung für die Planung und Entwicklung von Softwarelösungen in komplexen Umgebungen. Deine Expertise wird entscheidend sein, um unsere Architektur zu gestalten und den Übergang von Java zu Node.js / TypeScript zu leiten, während du Junior-Teammitglieder betreust und zu strategischen technischen Entscheidungen beiträgst.

Aufgaben:

Systemwartung: Wartung und Verbesserung bestehender Java-basierter Backendsysteme unter Verwendung von Spring Boot und Hibernate.
Zukünftig: Mitwirkung bei der Gestaltung und Implementierung eines modernen Node.js / TypeScript-Backends.
Service Development: Entwicklung skalierbarer, belastbarer und sicherer Backend-Services unter Verwendung von Frameworks wie Express oder NestJS.
API-Entwicklung: Aufbau und Wartung robuster RESTful APIs, mit der Möglichkeit, GraphQL zu erkunden.
Performance Optimierung: Optimierung der Systemleistung und Behebung komplexer technischer Herausforderungen.
Security Practices: Implementierung sicherer Coding Practices und Sicherstellung der Einhaltung von Branchenstandards.
Mentorship: Betreuung und Anleitung von Junior-Entwicklern, Förderung einer Kultur der technischen Exzellenz.
Zusammenarbeit: Zusammenarbeit mit Stakeholdern und funktionsübergreifenden Teams zur Anforderungserhebung und Bereitstellung wirkungsvoller Lösungen.

Dein Profil

Java-Expertise: Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Backend-Entwicklung mit fundierten Kenntnissen in Java, Spring Boot und Hibernate.
Node.js / TypeScript: Vertrautheit mit oder Bereitschaft zur Arbeit mit Node.js und TypeScript für die Backend-Entwicklung.
Datenbankmanagement: Praktische Erfahrung mit relationalen Datenbanken (z.B. PostgreSQL) und ORMs (z.B. Hibernate, TypeORM oder Prisma).
API-Design: Erfahrung in der Gestaltung und Entwicklung von APIs (RESTful; GraphQL von Vorteil).
Cloud-Plattformen: Fundiertes Verständnis von öffentlichen Cloud-Plattformen (z.B. AWS, Azure, GCP) und Containerisierungstools (z.B. Docker).
Systemoptimierung: Nachgewiesene Fähigkeit zur Profilierung und Optimierung von Backendsystemen für Leistung und Skalierbarkeit.
Kommunikationsfähigkeiten: Hervorragende Kommunikations-, Stakeholder-Management- und Mentoring-Fähigkeiten.
Sprachkenntnisse: Fließende Sprachkenntnisse in Englisch in Wort und Schrift.

Your mission

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our software development team in Munich, Berlin or Essen. This unique opportunity involves working on our Java-based backend systems in the first phase and then transitioning to a modern Node.js and TypeScript stack as part of our system modernisation initiative. You will play a key role in maintaining and optimising existing solutions while shaping the future of our SaaS products.

Your Impact:

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will take ownership of planning and developing software solutions in complex environments. Your profile

Java Expertise: Extensive backend development experience with strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
Node.js/TypeScript: Familiarity with or willingness to work with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
Database Management: Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ORMs (e.g., Hibernate, TypeORM, or Prisma).
API Design: Experience designing and developing APIs (RESTful; GraphQL is a plus).
Cloud Platforms: Strong understanding of public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation tools (e.g., Docker).
